Former Kano Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau Defects To APC, Says He Left PDP Because Of Kwankwaso

Former Governor of Kano, Ibrahim Shekarau has officially defected from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC).

He declared his defection on Saturday during a meeting with his loyalists at residence located at Mundubawa avenue.

Shekarau said he left PDP because of the injustice the national leadership of the party on the state leadership of the party.

He added that the main reason he left was as a result of concessioning of 51% of the party's leadership structure from state to ward level to a presidential aspirant, Rsbiu Kwankwaso who just decamped to the party (PDP).
