Union Threatens To Shut Down Kenya Airways Over Condition Of Service For Nigerian Staffs

The National Union of Air Transport Employee (NUATE) has threatened to shut down the operation Kenya Airways over the 'performance based leave' condition for Nigerian staff.

Due to the development, NUATE has petitioned the management of Kenya Airways, the union also vowed not to make the new condition of service work.

After the union had petition the airline, he also forwarded copies to the Minister of Labour snd Productivity, Minister of State for Aviation, Commissioner of Police, Airport Command and Director, State Security Services.

Source revealed that the new policy of the airline for Nigerian staffs is that, payment of leave for the staff would be based on their performance on the job adding to that, worker would not be paid leave allowance during public holidays.

The Union had warned that failure of the airline to comply with all the issues raised within 14 days, then the  operations of the airline would be shut down.
