The coup was aimed at removing President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. She won the peagent on Thursday night and supposed to represent Turkey in the Miss World beauty peagent scheduled to hold in China.

According to her tweet, the beauty queen compared the blood in her menstrual cycle with that of the people who died during the failed coup.

She wrote; "I am having my period this morning to celebrate the July 15 martys' day. I am celebrating the day by bleeding on behalf of our martyrs' blood."

The tweet was tagged  unpleasant, the organizer of the peagent said they never saw the tweet until after she had been announced the winner.

Her crown was given to the first runner-up, Asli Sumen. Sumen who came second is so lucky, she now has the crown and she will be representing Turkey in the Miss World beauty peagent holding on November 18 in China.
