Senate Orders Custom Boss To Appear Before The House In Appropriate Uniform

The Senate led by Dr Bukola Saraki has ordered the Comptroller-General of Customs Service, Col. Handed Ali(Rtd) to appear in appropriate Nigeria Customs uniform. It has been noticed that since inception as the Customs boss, Ali never wore the Customs uniform.

Ali was told to appear before the Senate in correct Customs uniform on 15th March this year to throw light on the issue of Customs Tax Duties on vehicles.

The Custom boss had given directives earlier that any vehicle  without customs clearance within one month would be impounded. He urged vehicle owners who are yet to process their custom papers to comply to avoid embarrassment.

The Senate mandated the customs boss to stop his proposed plan to punish any vehicle owner who fails to pay custom duties on such vehicle within one month of moving the vehicle into Nigeria. But Ali rebuffed the order of Senate because he had said no going back on the policy.
