Messi Faces 4-Match Ban And Pays Fine Of $10,170.

Argentine International and Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi has been banned for four Argentina matches for insulting an assistant referee in the World Cup qualifying match against Chile on Thursday.

The match ended 1-0 in favor of Argentina, Messi was also fined $10,170 and he was expected to miss the qualitying match against Bolivia on Tuesday.

Messi's match ban will be appealed according to the Argentina team secretary, Mr Jorge Miadosqui. Miadosqui added that Messi had not been warned or sanctioned by the referee of the Chile game at the time of the chaos snd nothing had been mentioned in the referee's match report.
