Arik Air Workers Smile To Bank As They Receive Salary Arrears

Arik Air staffs are happy at the moment as they smile to bank to get outstanding of salaries owed by the management of Arik Air.

The story of delayed Arik staffs salaries has taken a new dimension since the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) took over the management of Arik Air on 9th February, 2017.

Arik has started paying staffs' salaries and has paid its insurance premium which was supposed to expire 12th February , 2017.

According to source the poor performances of workers were due to lack of payment of workers salaries, lack of aviation fuel, technical issue and more, this resulted in some passengers missing their flight and dome had to go and purchase another ticket.

A statement by AMCON spokesman, Mr Jude Nwauzor said a good number of affected passengers have been refunded while efforts are ongoing to reach out to those yet to get their refund as a result of the suspension of flights to some routers.

He added that the new management under the watch of AMCON has held a series of fruitful meetings with major suppliers of aviation fuel (ATK) and has reached agreement for regular supplies of the product to Arik.

Passengers in and out of the country have started patronizing the airline due to the positive changes experienced by the airline in a short time.
