Acting President Meets IG of Police Over Southern Kaduna Killings


The Vice president and currently acting president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has called for the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Ibrahim Idris to Aso Rock in Abuja for explanation over the Southern Kaduna killings.

It has been noticed that the killings in that region is on the increase, the acting president summoned the IGP to give explanation and what measures could be taken to put stop to the unnecessary killings of citizens.

The essence of the meeting between the acting president and the IGP is to prefer solution to the problem in Southern Kaduna so as to protect lives and properties and also prevent further damages.

To foster peace in the region, presidency had ordered deployment of over 15,000 policemen to Southern Kaduna, establishment of a new Police Squadron in Kafanchan, Kaduna, deployment of 18 Armored Personnel Carriers, additional surveillance helicopters to put stop to violence in Southern Kaduna.
