DOCTORS IN NASARAWA EMBARK ON INDEFINITE STRIKE

The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Nasarawa state chapter under the chairman , Dr Friday Omolei and the secretary of the association ,Dr Peter Attah said that they have embarked on indefinite strike action over unpaid salaries. NMA further said the decision was taken because the government had refused to fulfil their promise since 2014.
During the chairman's speech he said the association is open to dialogue , but wouldn't call off the strike until their demands are met.
“From January 2016 till date, there has been mass movement of doctors from the employment of Nasarawa state government due to poor remuneration and high tax regime".
